I can be described as a Teva-Birkenstock wearing moderate (when I remember to put something on my feet as I prefer to go barefoot and those two items are usually it).  I support environmental causes, pro-life,  try to use organic foods and products and fair trade goods as often as possible, and basically hold a more moderate view than an extreme left or right view.  I always listen to other view points as long as it is a polite conversation for that is what true dialogue is, becoming the other “I.”

My spirituality and theology is Roman Catholicism in the tradition of the Benedictines, included the Cistercian Tradition of the Benedictine Order, so Thomas Merton is among my collection of spiritual writings, along with the sayings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers.  There is a small Franciscan element to involved too due to my love of the outdoors, although I prefer a warm environment.  Never got into cold although I like downhill skiing.

I have a good sense of humor, slightly sarcastic, but never to hurt someone else.
